Hip-hop caught me with the way words can carry weight and rhythm at the same time — meaning and sound, locked together. Growing up, it became huge — and many of those tracks I still listen to today. I always wanted to record my own, even if I doubt my musical talent. Had to try, if only for the fun of it. Years go fast. One day I'll come back to these songs and think — I was young, and those were good times.
